FBI Citizens Academy

It was an honor to be one of 26 candidates selected to attend the Academy in 2020. When the world shut down, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other government agencies remained open, continuing their mission without interruption.

After graduating, I joined the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBINCAAA), which partners with the Federal Bureau of Investigation on community outreach programs that promote public safety through engagement, education, and service initiatives.

Following graduation, I had the opportunity to visit the FBI Academy, a 547-acre campus located within Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. As the primary training facility for FBI special agents and intelligence analysts, the Academy further expanded my understanding of the FBI’s operations.

UNLV - Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada

I was selected as one of a limited number of featured individuals in the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada project, an initiative led by the UNLV Oral History Research Center that preserves the oral histories of the region’s Hispanic community.

Launched around 2018, the project documents more than 150 interviews capturing culture, work, and community life, creating a lasting historical record of the community’s impact. I’m actively involved in the design community, the lowrider and classic car culture, and my work with Sunday Slacker, an independent media brand I co-lead with my wife that highlights the business and creative community.

UNLV Art Walk

I had the opportunity to help UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) curate the classic automotive art at the ¡Americanx! exhibition for their Fine Arts Annual Art Walk.

The Art Walk introduces you to all seven areas of the Fine Arts at UNLV — Dance, Film, Theatre, Architecture, Music, Art, and Entertainment Engineering and Design.

“¡Americanx!” at the Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery introduced the depth and diversity of contemporary works produced by artists of Latino/a/x heritage who call Las Vegas home

BN Conference - Smiths Center

Las Vegas welcomed all the designers, creative and industry leaders for the Brand New Conference. The two-day event at the Smith Center highlights corporate and brand identity design with some of today’s most active and influential practitioners from around the world.

The Brand New Conference is organized and hosted by UnderConsideration co-founders Bryony Gomez-Palacio and Armin Vit.

 What a wonderful experience. I was proud to be part of the BN Conf team this year, I look forward to Austin.
