FIN at the Mirage Hotel & Casino is a Chinese fine dining restaurant designed by HLW International in collaboration with Yabu Pushelberg. The dramatic interior design offers a sophisticated yet comfortable setting, reminiscent of an underwater scene.
The rendering provided by the architecture firm had a key feature; beautiful rows of glass balls hanging from the ceiling. This was the inspiration for the menu design for the new restaurant.
Taking every aspect into consideration. The table size, average amounts of guest to a table, the weight of each menu, the contents on the table; all were evaluated. In our research, we found menus only last a year or two before they had to be replaced. Most were damaged by the staff when stored improperly in the bin.
Incorporating the interior design concept, the main menu features plexi glass with silk screen printing that floats off the background giving depth and dimension similar to the design in the restaurant.
